Economy Travel Insurance
At 24drtravel.com, we recognise that customers have different requirements when it comes to travel insurance and our policies have been designed to reflect this. Our Economy level policies are intended for people wishing to save money on their premiums by accepting more risk. They cover the usual essentials but with lower levels of compensation. Perhaps your baggage is worth very little and would not cost much to replace. Or if you have made a late booking very close to your time of departure, you may be willing to accept lower cancellation compensation.
The Economy policies do not cover for personal accident, hijack, disaster and withdrawal of services. If you are travelling somewhere where the risk of these occurrences is small, it may be that you are willing to take the risk of not insuring for them.
Your Economy Travel Insurance includes:
- Prices from just £3
- Trip durations from 3 days up to 365
- Redundancy cover
- Up to £2m medical cover
- Up to £500 cancellation cover
- Over 60 activities covered
- 24 hour worldwide emergency assistance
A certain amount of fine-tuning is possible on all our policies; by increasing or decreasing your excesses, or even deleting baggage cover or cancellation and curtailment cover. It is important to us that our customers understand exactly what level of cover they are receiving, what is left in and what is excluded in order to offer the reduced premiums for Economy travel insurance. If you need any help in exploring these options please contact our helpline on 0844 482 2303.

Dr Travel Tips
- If you are travelling alone don’t use the room service door-hangers as they require you to state number of guests and you shouldn’t make it aware you are travelling alone.
- Fit a padlock with a combination code onto your bags, this way there is no issue if you lose your key and you don’t need to fumble around to find it should you need to access your bag quickly – but don’t forget the code!
- You should carry copies of all your important documents when you are away and store them in a separate place to your originals.
