- Fit a padlock with a combination code onto your bags, this way there is no issue if you lose your key and you don’t need to fumble around to find it should you need to access your bag quickly – but don’t forget the code!
- Try not to view maps openly on the street, this immediately identifies you as a tourist, if possible step into a busy business to find you way.
- If you choose to take money on your travels make sure it is not all stored in the same place. Alternately take traveller’s cheques which will be replaced if they are lost or stolen.
