24DrTravel Insurance grew out of an original idea to provide useful information and advice to travellers abroad. We have assembled a comprehensive and informative reference library covering many aspects of foreign travel. We advise on travel planning, health precautions and sensible strategies to adopt for travelling in safety, in addition to providing general information about popular resort destinations and up-to-the-minute travel news and alerts.

We have always advised travellers to take out the appropriate travel insurance for their journey and not to be tempted to skimp on it if money is tight. Our recommendation has always been that travellers should carry as much risk as they can afford but get the essentials covered and this has led to some customers asking if we could provide such cover. In response, we went out into the market to find good quality, reliable travel insurance providers to recommend to our browsers. We knew exactly what we were looking for; a good range of cover coupled with competitive prices. We selected White Horse Insurers for the quality of their service and competitive pricing. Out of this grew 24DrTravel Insurance, administered by Rock Insurance Services Ltd., underwritten by White Horse Insurance Ireland Ltd. and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA number 300317).

Our web site is now a one-stop shop for travellers to research their chosen travel destinations, pick up useful tips, assess their insurance needs and then purchase suitable cover tailored to their specific requirements. Our Customer Service team is on hand to help travellers to explore their options or to take their instructions by phone, should they prefer. We also operate a Medical Screening Helpline for travellers needing advice about pre-existing medical conditions. Our policies list over 200 waived medical conditions and we do not charge for medical screening. Our customer service also extends to a 24 hour Emergency Assistance Helpline and a Legal Advice Helpline for policy holders whilst abroad, provided by AXA Assistance.

We offer a range of travel policies to suit differing budgets and levels of risk, including compensation for cancellation due to redundancy. We cover over 60 different sporting activities and offer insurance to all ages, covering a maximum of four children (17 years and younger) on our family policies. Travellers up to 79 years of age can be covered on our annual multi-trip policies and up to 89 years of age on our single- trip policies.
